Unrelated: Unprotected sex runs the risk of pregnancy and/or acquiring a sexually transmitted disease. Those risks are not substantially reduced by the azithromycin dose. If your question is the pregnancy related fetal effects of azithromycin -it is a category B drug meaning no studies have been done in humans and no harm was shown in animal studies. it should only be given during pregnancy when needed.

It depends....: Assuming you were treated for chlamydia or a related problem like nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), it is ideal to wait 7 days. But if the partner with whom you are sharing this infection also has been treated, and if any symptoms are starting to improve, sex with each other shouldn't hurt anything. But for sure no unprotected sex with untreated or new partners until at least 7 days have passed.
