Acanthosis: If the skin in your "underarms" is significantly different (darker, "velvety" in texture = bumpy) then you should see your physician for evaluation. This type of skin change in the neck folds and in the axilla can be indicative of a more serious health issue and needs proper eval. Your doctor can then refer you, if needed, to the proper specialist.
