Hard to predict.: Tearing with a first baby is not a guarantee that you will tear with your next delivery. In fact, many women are able to deliver "subsequent" babies that are larger with less perineal tearing. Tearing can occur with or without anesthesia. I always found that women tore less, though, without an episiotomy. Good luck. Lgromkomd.
