A member asked:

Is it wrong to start clomid (clomiphene) in the spotting of continuous bleeding (without blood flow) phase before the start of blood flow phase of menstrual cycle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No one answer: Clomid (clomiphene) can be given during numerous time periods after the first menstrual bleed. This is up to the physician but in general the amount of bleeding does not matter per say. Typically Clomid (clomiphene) can be given 3 to 5 days after the first sign of menstrual bleeding. Some women only spot and some have heavy flow. So it would be Ok to give Clomid (clomiphene) if you only spot during day 3 or 4. Again this is up to doc
