A member asked:

Why my period has been on for more than 8 days?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

8 day can be normal: Usually they are less but somethings menstrual bleeds can be 8 days long. If you experience a menstrual period longer than 10 days then I would advise you pay a visit to your doctor. Menstruation is the shedding of the lining of the uterus and during some cycles there can be a build of the lining. So menstrual bleeds can vary with time. But if too long then we need to determine why.
