Depends: Depends on the reason you want to discontinue Lexapro (escitalopram) ... Always best to discuss with your doctor. If it's related to some side effect, maybe an alternative medication is appropriate. That said, in general, I always recommend tapering over a 2-4 week period so that you don't experience any adverse effects. Hope that helps!
