Is it bad for ast to be higher than alt? both are within normal range. my ast is 12 and my alt is 9.

Normal: Your enzyme levels are normal. AST is present in more tissues where as ALT is present mostly in the liver.

Normal.: They are rarely exactly equal. As long as they're in the normal range, it's fine.
