A member asked:

Is advisable a woman with takayasu's arteritis takes birth control pills with drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Hormonal birth control pills have been associated with venous thrombosis. No data with Takayasu but may be advisable to use copper IUD Ask your OB-GYN. It seems using meds associated with venous thrombosis is not a good idea in patients with arterial disorders.
