Maybe not: Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is most effective if given during the first 5 days of your period. If it was given then it is usually effective by the next day or so. If you were given Depo outside of the first 5 days after your period, you will need around 7 days before it is totally effective. From your question it sounds like you were not in the first 5 days and you might not be protected. Talk to your doc.
