Anovulatory cycle: Anovulatory cycles are very common cause of irregular bleeding in young women in whom it's very common to have irregular periods. It's doubtful that anything is wrong but best to go see your family doc for evaluation. If you're worried about irregular periods, birth control pills can help regulate them. Or depoprovera can stop them altogether. Obviously risks associated w/both choices so discuss.
