Zinc allergy: zinc oxide is generally used as a sun block or a healing paste. It is possible to get an allergic reaction to a heavy metal, and the time frame suggests that you might have an allergy to it. Stop using it, take loratidine for 5 days. Try it again and if you still get a reaction, it is most likely an allergy.

Unlikely: It is unlikely that he zinc caused the problem and more likely that some other ingredient or preservative may be the cause of,your sensitivity.
