Rocks or butterflies: Sounds like you're in significant distress, but there are so many things that can cause your symptoms--infectious, inflammatory, hemorrhage, ischemia, functional (ibs, esophageal spasm, neuropathic), biliary problems; but also heart, lungs, panic, etc. Get to your doctor so treatment can begin based on findings.

If discomfort persists and if there is associated abdominal tenderness,vomiting,black or bloody stools,you need to be examined by a physician who will take a thorough history and perform a physical examination.
