Stone: Typically, a stone less than 6mm is likely to pass on it's own without intervention. Some though do not and need assistance from the medical profession. More importantly is where is the stone… If it is in the kidney, it may stay there forever without consequence. If it is in the ureter and it will not pass and continues to cause pain, a urologist will help you. Increasing fluids may help flush.

Yes: If you know the type of stone.......it will be easier. Talk to your doctor.....Uric Acid stones are common...easy to dissolve also.
