Bowel movements: A change in diet and other routines like travel,etc often also changes pattern of bowel movements. These should eventually reregulate them selves. Make sure your new diet provides regular eating times,adequate fluid and fiber intake.Any medication prescribed for your gastritis may also affect your bowel movements and you should avoid alcohol,caffeine and nicotine. More acid : when you cut calories you have less food to buffer the acid your stomach makes . Your stomach is still making acid for1800 calories. Take an acid blocker like Pepcid (famotidine) and stick to your diet its normal also add fiber like Straight medical labs fiber blend it will help
