Hi! i have terrible sore throe for 3 days, starting taking azithromycin this morning. ..... can i take advil (ibuprofen) for my pain? thank you

Sure: I'm not sure that Zithromax will help unless you have (bacterial) strep throat. But, Motrin and Zithromax are not contraindicated. Although you might have more relief with Aleve (naproxen) - as it lasts a little bit longer. Just don't overdo it with the pain therapies - as they increase the risk for a GI ulcer, talk to your doctor if you need it for more than a few days. Hope you feel better & good luck!
