Common, not normal: This is what we call a "threatened" miscarriage. The heavier the bleeding and the more symptoms that accompany it the more worrisome it is. It does not mean anything WILL happen, just that it COULD, but you will just have to wait and see. They should be able to clarify things better at your appointment tomorrow.
