I had pprom at 22 week.at week10 had sch.at week 14 placental grading showed overmaturity, grading was ii.does it have connection to pprom at 22 week?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PPROM: PPROM has been linked to inflammation/infection. Infection/inflammation is most commonly seen in membranes of pregnancies with earlier rupture of membranes. Placental grading is an ultrasound attempt to examine the maturity of the placenta and is based upon calcifications seen in the placenta. Advanced maturity can be linked to many complications of pregnancy. Not necessarily a cause and effect.
