Dysfunctional Bleed: We call this dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Periods are not happening when they should. Need an evaluation and some blood testing to check for causes. Normally we treat this with birth control pills for several cycles to try and get periods normal again, then can stop them and see what happens. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck with this. Dr R
