A member asked:

For the last week i haven't had any sensation that i need to pee when i'm sitting or lying down. what's causing this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Urge to void: Our urge to void is triggered by bladder fullness. Typically the sensations arise at approx 150-200 ml. We can "override" this and "create" a pause. The bladder can relax a bit and then signal again at 300 cc or so. If you override the urge a lot, you can be desensitized. Also, child birth can alter sensitivities and volume signals. Are you hydrated enough.? Is your bladder a stretched bladder
