More reliable test?: If you have a reason to suspect that you are pregnant, then you need to have a more reliable pregnancy test (performed in lab). It is possible that the spotting at 3 weeks was a spontaneous early abortion (miscarriage) which would obviously give you a negative pregnancy test afterward
