Chest pain: Chest pain can be from various causes, from something cardiac (although unlikely in your age), reflux, asthma and anxiety is big trigger. If its really bad, then get checked out asap by your doc or in the Er.

Chest pain: General rule of thumb- if chest pain is of severe intensity, and lasting more than 30 min, it is more likely to be a heart attack.
Having said that, there are so many atypical presentations nthat should not be ignored. To answer your question- probably not.

Probably not heart: Considering your age its unlikely the heart. But a full physical and and detailed history with an ekg and labs would be good to asess the problem and use for future comparison. And of course quit smoking!

Get cardiac workup: Get cardiac workup if it is normal, get your doctor to rule out lung problems and gerd, it also can be anxiety or panic attack.
