A member asked:

Many sites say retesting at 2-3 weeks following treatment for chlamydia is too short due to false positives. what is a good time to get retested?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Follow up testing: Testing to assess for adequate treatment of Chlamydia is not necessary unless you are pregnant or still having symptoms. In those instances you can test to make sure that you are disease-free at 3 weeks after treatment. Also you should be treated for Gonorrhea as this can coexist with the Chlamydia infection. Good Luck and practice safe sex.
