Don't take lightly: ligaments attach bone to bone and help provide structure and stability to the foot. Injuries involving ligaments can take 4-6 wks to heal and require modifying weight bearring status. If a ligament pulls from attachment on the bone this is an avulsion type injury and can become chronic if not treated properly. Be sure to follow up with a detailed foot exam before you put zoom in Zumba.
