Becoming more common: According to the CDC incidence of HIV/AIDs in women has been steadily increasing over the years. In 1985, 7% of AIDS cases were in adult women compared to 27% in 2007. Women from minority populations typically are at greater risk, as well as those in rural or poorer neighborhoods with limited access to healthcare.
