Fragrance free : I initially start out by placing my patients on products which are fragrance free. I will have them wash with a gentle soap like dove followed by an all over moisturizer like aveeno (oatmeal). I also have them use a fragrance free laundry soap like all-free and no fabric softeners or dryer sheets. If the above measures are not helping then patch testing can be done. I hope this helps. Hydroquinone cream: Try hydroquinone cream. Rub in a small amount 2 times each day. You can find a 2% hydroquinone cream over the counter in most pharmacies. Natural liquorice extract is another treatment that works but is usually not as effective.
