Time: Much as we hate to admit it sometimes there is not much we can do outside of the hospital to hurry up labor. Once in the hospital the labour can be started, or hurried up by the actions of your OB doctor. Call the office and see if these methods might be appropriate for you.

No: First, you should do whatever your OB doctor tells you to do. Then do not try to take anything or do anything to "help put me in labor". We all realize the frustration of a patient with a "term" pregnancy. You clearly are mentally ready to deliver, but it is important to let nature take it's course. If you are past term and not progressing, you OB dr. Will discuss a plan with you.
