Precise localization: Stereotactic biopsy is a method of pin pointing the location of a deep seated lesion inside your breast using an x-ray imaging device and special computer technology that analyzes the image and calculates the location. A special needle then is inserted in that lesion, automatically guided, to obtain a tissue sample for microscopic examination
