Depends on person: People are different in how they react to a given medication and dose. In theory, the 10/500 has more acetaminophen, so should be more effective as a combination medication. However, in my clinical practice, I have found that they are about equally effective.

Maybe: The 500 and 325 refer to the amount of tylenol (acetaminophen) in the pill. The 10 is the amount of hydrocodone so same amount of narcotic pain reliever in both. Some people get more relief with the 500 indicating they may not need the narcotic only anti-inflammatory.

Either: They both have similar analgesic power. The pain killer is the 10 mg of hydrocodone. The 500 and 325 are tylenol (acetaminophen); put in there, i believe, to dissuade injection by addicts. It is always best to take the least amount of Acetaminophen (tylenol (acetaminophen)) so the 325 is preferred. Compared to the hydrocodone, the tylenol (acetaminophen) has negligible analgesic benefits.

Depends: Hydrocodones as a class are powerful analgesics but have potential side effects and can be addictive, should be used short term for severe pains. I admire your question at age of 13.For me it's more important to understand the cause of the pain and treat that. There are other strong pain control medications which are relatively safer.Let your parents take you to the doctor if its for you.
