Would hydrocodone pills work for coughing?

Narcotics....: Narcotics, like hydrocodone, can suppress coughing by decreasing the reflex at the brain level. But, a cough is there for a reason: to rid the lungs of potentially harmful bacteria, viruses, pollen, etc. The treatment for a cough is to treat the reason the cough is there, not to simply suppress it. Suppressing a cough can actually be harmful. See a doctor for treatment for any prolonged cough!
