A member asked:

How do damaged roots affect your hair health if hair is already dead cells?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Heidi Fowler answered

Specializes in Psychiatry

Hair: The hair grows from the root/follicle. The hair that is past that point is the dead portion. So the hair that is visible is dead.
