Minimal: Asbestos is a health threat when people inhale or ingest microscopic particles over a long period of time. Since the 1980's buildings have been constructed with asbestos-free materials. For older buildings as long as the asbestos is intact it cannot cause any harm. Materials that might contain asbestos should only be removed by qualified people.
