Classics: Include polydipsia (drink a lot), polyphagia (eat a lot), polyuria (pee a lot), plus low energy (not using sugar ingested), sweet smell to urine or urinary infection, blurred vision (from high sugar in eye fluid). If concerned, get your fasting blood sugar checked and urine checked for spilling glucose. Next comes hgba1c or glucose tolerance testing.
