(Trousseau Sign: There are two different trousseau signs. One may be seen in a patient with low calcium. (trousseau sign of latent tetany) a blood pressure cuff on the arm is inflated (> systolic blood pressure) x 3 minutes. This can cause spasm in the forearm & hand (the silhouette looks a bit like a swan’s head and neck).
