I got an iud placed early july, had a period end of july, and i haven't had one or spotting since. is this normal? worth calling my dr?

Missing periods: is not a typical condition associated with having an IUD. Although unlikely, the most common cause of missed periods is pregnancy (so take the test!), and then definitely consult with your doctor.
