Fungus: Unless the slippers are really really dirty , fungus can survive there but not really grow. Fungus that infects our skin and nails is a spore forming organism that can survive 6 t o 9 months without a host . That is why it can survive in your slippers. See your podiatrist for products that will kill the fungus in your slippers - or just pitch them and get new slippers

I agree...: with Dr. Inwood. There is now a spray called "Clean Sweep" by Tetra Medical that has nanosilver to help provide an antimicrobial barrier in shoe gear. You may want to try this as well.
