Usually...: PCOS should not be the cause of pain. Ovarian cysts are traditionally thought to cause pain which can be true but should not be severe unless they cause an ovarian torsion. In your case if this pain has come up all of a sudden I would suggest you to go to the ED ASAP. Other possibilities may include a pelvic infection but you need to be examined in order to find out what is going on.
