I was prescribed co-amoxiclav for my mild bleeding throat when i wake up. no symptoms of other chest inf. i'm not sure if necessary?

Throat infection: Most sore throats are caused by viral infections as opposed to bacterial strep infections. Unless you had a throat culture which was positive for strep, amoxicillin is not helpful for a nonbacterial throat infection. Discuss this with your physician who knows your complete history, and physical findings as well as lab results.
