Throat infection: Most sore throats are caused by viral infections as opposed to bacterial strep infections. Unless you had a throat culture which was positive for strep, amoxicillin is not helpful for a nonbacterial throat infection. Discuss this with your physician who knows your complete history, and physical findings as well as lab results.

AntibioticOrBigMac??: Never a good idea to take an antibiotic if you don't need it.First, you don't need it.Second, there can be side effects(commonly diarrhea and allergic reactions).Third, when bacteria are exposed to antibiotics they can develop resistance and when they are used unnecessarily it just increases the chances.Fourth, they cost somebody money.Money they could buy that Big Mac with.So make sure you need it
