Dental major infection/pain, tyl#3 or tramadol, ibuprofen not working?

Dentist or ER: If you have a major tooth infection, you need to be seen immediately by a dentist. If that is not possible, go to the ER, where you will be seen and given antibiotics. The antibiotics will not solve your problem, but will instead begin to control the infection until you can get to a dentist in the next day or so. Feel better soon.

See: your dentist ASAP. If this powerful medication does not work for then there may be a problem. Do not wait. Aspirin at 1 gram every 6 hours usually does a great job also but with tylenol (acetaminophen) #3 not helping you clearly should visit your dentist ASAP. Do not wait and good luck.

See a dentist ASAP: You must treat the source of the infection, not only the symptoms. Therefore, you need to clean out the inside of the tooth to remove the bacteria which is the source of the infection. The pain medication cannot reach the source of the infection. Ask your dentist for more information.
