Nerve compression: History of lower back injury, pain? compressed nerves in lower back at levels L4,5, S1,2 can create this type of symptoms. The disks serve as spacers/cushions between vertebrae and if they "slip" or herniate nerves can be compressed or pinched. This leads to symptoms of pain, numbness, tingling, sharp, shooting, burning. Now that both feet are involved I would rec f/u for low back eval.
