Possible Polyp: May be a nasal polyp. You should have it looked at to make sure it's nothing worse.

See Dr ASAP: What ever is causing your symptoms it's likely that picking at it will cause infection, if the area is not already infected. Various conditions, including benign and malignant tumors, can cause a lump on the septum. You need to have this area examined as soon as possible. If there is infection in the area it needs to be treated promptly with oral antibiotics as infection in nose is dangerous.

White septal lesion: If you are picking the nasal septum frequently, you can actually expose the underlying cartilage which has a white color to it. Thus, I do not suggest picking the site. Furthermore, you could develop a septal infection or abscess. Other possibilities include a calcified lesion, a wart , papilloma, or polyp. Certainly the best bet is to see an otolaryngologist for an exam and treatment.
