My period was due three days ago and i have been light spotting since then. i took a pregnancy test this am it was negative. is it still too early?

May be: It would be prudent to repeat the test in 3-4 days. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully, including the time frame within which to read the test. As an alternative you could see your doctor for a blood test which is more sensitive and would be positive now if you are pregnant.
