Sounds like asthma: and cough spells could be precipitated by a multitude of triggers or co morbidities, such as chronic sinus infection , uppper respiratory tract chronic inflammation, airway hyper-responsiveness or GERD, so you need to see an allergist/immunologist, check aaaai.org or acaai.org for an allergist in your area, goodluck
