Generally, no, but: Generally, no, but .... Tumor growth and doubling times indicate tumors require time to grow from one cell to many cells to mass. Tumors may not be detectable some scans, and be detectable on other kind of scans for exmple scans with iv contrast may show masses that are invisible without iv contrast and vice versa. Small undetectable tumors, may be in a critical location, or bleed, erode, perforate.
