Calluses: Calluses are a build up of the superficial layers of Keratin in an area of excessive mechanical stress or pressure (usually the skin is getting shear or entrapment from the underlying bones). The callus, itself, probably does not itch. There is likely an irritation of an underlying nerve. Alternatively, you may have a fungal infection. If the problem persists or worsens, see a Podiatrist.
