HPV: As with other viral infections like HIV, its thought that multiple exposures is the rule. This is not to say it can't be transmitted after just one exposure though. It depends now on the type of sex. Was it with a man or woman. Were you insertive or receptive? You can have an anal PAP to monitor for that. Guardicil is a series of shots that can prevent initial infection alltogether.

Good/bad news: HPV is a STD that can go dormant, where the individual does not shed virus or spread it,but this is after the initial 2 years of the disease. Condoms are can reduce but not totally prevent transfer and will not protect skin not covered bu the condom from transfer.You could acquire the disease after any exposure, but repeated exposures are more likely to pass it.
