Recently my 5 year old son has had yellow/orange color on the bottom of his feet and in the palms of his hands. what could be causing this?

Unusual skin changes: 1. Carotenemia - causes orange skin it is due to a dietary excess of Beta-carotenes (carrots, pumpkin etc) 2. Hemochromatosis - may cause bronze skin is an excess of iron build-up. 3. Jaundice - usually causes yellow skin rather than orange skin. It is usually a sign of liver dysfunction outside the newborn period (jaundice in newborns is normal to a degree). See you doctor for evaluation
