Can be: Hi , I think any woman who has been or is pregnant will say that they experienced increasing firmness of their abdomen . in the first weeks I think this can be attributed to increased bloating caused by the change in hormone status. Then of course as the uterus rises out of the pelvis and the woman begins to 'show' the uterus can be felt as a fullness or firmness in the center of the belly.
