It would be too: early to pick up on a pregnancy from sexual intercourse that occurred 5 days ago. However, if you were sexually active prior to that time & period is 16 days late - then could test for pregnancy now. Women often wait for about two weeks or a missed period to test using standard home pregnancy test. Take care.
