Pass: If they detect cotinine, tell them you were in a smoke-filled bar. It'll be at a low level. Now, please don't do anything like this again. The stuff is horribly addicting and you're asking to lose your freedom and your health -- and for what?

Blood vs urine?: “If you smoke infrequently, cotinine will usually be present in your urine for about four days. With regular exposure to nicotine, cotinine may be detectable for up to three weeks after your last exposure.” REF: https://www.healthline.com/health/quit-smoking/how-long-does-nicotine-stay-in-your-system#nicotine-inurine

Pass: You're asking again, right? If nicotine metabolite is detected at all, it will be in the range that's consistent with second-hand smoke, and the lab will probably recognize it as such as report negative. Now please don't try an e-cig again.
