Talk to the pescribe: It is unlikely that you get levothyroxine for high thyroid. It is usually given for low thyroid. Excess thyroid medication will increase your metabolism rather than make you sleepy. Hence it is best to talk to your provider and get clarification and better management

Check TSH: This is not a typical side effect of this medication. You could possibly take a lower dose but...... The correct replacement dose of levothyroxine is the one that keeps your TSH normalized. Normal is debatable and varies between labs but most experts think you should be above 0.4 and below about 2.5.
